Who wants to get out of their car every time you pull in & out your driveway, when you could easily press a button? Don’t melt in the Texas heat; get an automated gate.
At Gladiator Fence, not only do we install remote controlled automatic gates gates, but we can also design them to match your existing style!
For electric gates, you can choose between a swing or a slide. Keep in mind the gate only opens to one side. There are several options when it comes to how to power your electric fence. You can choose just one, or you can choose all of them for a backup.
If you use your gate a lot (more than 10 times a day), you need a reliable operator to handle your demands. Electricity is the most reliable and what we tend to recommend in this situation. The solar-powered operators have a limited number of times you can open and close it each day.
Remote gate operators are game-changers. Not only does it reduce the hassle and inconvenience of accessing your property, but it also keeps it secure in your absence. A keypad or lock pad is also available to add to your automated gate.
At Gladiator Fence and Outdoors, we install your electric gate to withstand the weather while also upgrading the aesthetic quality of your property.
We also don’t install and run. If, for some reason, your electric gate stops working, our gate experts and electricians we will be here to help get the issue resolved.
At Gladiator Fence and Outdoor, we only use the highest quality materials while designing the gate to avoid accidents and withstand the sometimes brutal Texas climate.
We recommend to have one of our professional technicians inspect your gate periodically, keeping parts greased and inspect wiring to ensure that it is still protected every 3 to 6 months. For high security & highly used gates, we also offer commercial gate maintenance packages. We deliver on-call access to repair technicians in the Fort Worth Area.
Here at Wags, we aim to under-promise and over-deliver. Our goal is to give peace of mind to our customers, knowing that their automated gate, provides more security, without sacrificing on style, for years to come.
A fence’s job is to secure the perimeter, keeping your property private and safe. Gates, on the other hand, do the exact opposite. Their job is to provide access and permission for people to come and go. With current technology, manual gates are a thing of the past, automated gates give you both convenience and security.

Advantages & Features of Automated Gates
A basic & easy solution to opening a gate; a key fob is essentially a remote to open the gate. All you have to do is keep your fob on your keys, and as long as you’re within a few feet from the gate, it will open.
Typically installed at the front of the gate, keypads need a password to be entered for the gate to open and close. A call-box is often integrated with the keypad, allowing you to talk through it to the person requesting access to the property. We recommend Keypads as a backup for the Key Fob. For additional security, you can add built-in security cameras, which take pictures of the person entering the code in the keypad or of the license plate entering the gate.
Open your gate with more than just a key fob or keypad; use your phone! Automated gate operators can now be opened using an app on your smartphone. All you have to do is download it. It’s the cheapest and easiest solution to open or close your gate.
Fingerprint readers, eye retina scanners, and security cameras are also available to gain access through automated gates. Use a video camera to record who enters and leaves through the gate or use it to confirm who is at the property before allowing entry.
This is installed on the gate operators themselves. These gate operators allow you to open the gate remotely from the inside. We recommend this for apartments, offices, or anywhere with frequent gate use.
Solar Powered Gate Openers
On average, Fort Worth gets about 230 days of full sunshine each year. Solar-powered gate operators work with just about every kind of gate out there. The most popular being swinging drive gates or sliding drive gates.
Solar vs. Electric Driveway Gate
At Gladiator Fence and Outdoor, we install both solar and electric gate operators; allowing you to make the best decision for you and your family. As of 2022, DFW homeowners can deduct up to 30% of the total cost of a solar gate installation on their federal income taxes. It may be more expensive upfront, but in the long run, the solar-powered gate operator can be cheaper than electric.

Things to consider about with Solar Powered Automated Gate:
The solar panel needs at least five hours of direct sunlight on a daily basis to maintain a battery charge. The panel can be mounted up to about 20 feet away from the gate operator.
Short answer: no.
You do not need an outlet for a solar powered opener.
Solar-powered gate operators can open and close about 8 to 10 times per day on a full battery charge. If that is not enough, there are other systems available, typically for ranchers and commercial use.
We can do that. Plus, solar can help you save money on energy costs. Many newer gate systems come with the capability to switch from electric to solar.
First things first, trim anything green that could grow over the solar panel, severely affecting its ability to recharge (shade = no sun = no charging battery = gate that won’t open or close).
A dirt-covered solar panel is as useful as a watermill in the middle of a desert. Make sure your solar panels are debris-free.
Most panels are resistant to hail (to a certain point). Storms could damage a solar panel or move its position if it’s being hung. It’s important to inspect your property thoroughly after a significant storm.
